United States defender Tim Ream and South Korea forward Son Heung-Min crossed paths in the stadium tunnel and stopped for an unplanned pregame moment on Saturday night.

Photographers captured the two captains sharing a warm handshake and conversation away from the customary pre-match ceremonies that would follow later. The two will likely face each other several times over the course of the 2025 as Ream plays for MLS side Charlotte FC and Son recently joined LAFC.
